Diet

Well Balanced

Dieting isn’t all about loosing weight.  By having a well balanced, nourishing diet, individuals can enhance their energy levels, improve digestion, boost mental clarity and support a healthy immune system.  These all contribute to a better overall well-being which in turn helps us get the most out of life.

Healthier Life

We have to make conscious decisions about what we eat.  Encouraging mindful eating habits can help us avoid overeating and recognise why we are eating what we eat and what benefits the food will have on our health.  This can help us stick with a nutritious diet long term.

A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins supports a healthy immune system and can contribute to a longer, healthier life.

Yoyo Dieting

Yoyo dieting is an unhealthy pattern to get into.  If we diet hard to loose some weight quickly and then go back to what we were eating before, we will almost certainly put the weight back on again.

Another risk to this kind of dieting is that if we cut out too many foods, we risk becoming undernourished.  It is crucial to ensure that we are getting all the nutrients we need and are incorporating all the food types we need in a balanced way.

Small Changes

The best way to achieve long term goals is to make small but achievable changes to our diets.  Once you feel that the change has become your normal and does not feel like ‘dieting’ then we can introduce another small change.  If we try and do too much at once we are more likely to revert back to old eating habits.
